Indications: Ammonium Muriaticum has marked action on those who are fat and slugglish having respiratory problems. It is also suited to those having large body with thin legs. Cough is dry hacking but loose in the afternoon with profuse expectoration and rattling mucus. Hoarseness and burning in larynx. Cough more by lying on back or right side. Cough with profuse salivation accompanied by liver symptoms. Phlegm is so tough that it cannot be hawked up. Thin watery acrid and hot discharge from nose corroding the inside of nose and upper lip in coryza. Loss of smell with obstructed, stuffy feeling and desire to blow it out.

Ammonium Muriaticum also helps in constipation when no stools are alike. Stools vary in colour and covered with glairy mucus. There is crumbling of stools at the verge of anus. This remedy is also useful in diarrhea when there is bloody discharge from bowels at the time of menses. It is also useful in haemorrhoids especially after suppressed leucorrhoea.
