Indications: Nux Moschata is a chief remedy for drowsiness and sleepiness. Complaints cause sleepiness or is accompanied by drowsiness. The patient is very much disturbed due to unconquerable and irresistible desire to sleep. Always feels drowsy and sleepy. There is stupor and insensibility with drowsiness and sleepiness. Nux Moschata is also useful in Vertigo when walking in open air. The patient is sensitive to slightest touch in a draught of air. There is a feeling of expansion with sleepiness. Oversensitiveness to light, touch, smell, noise, pain etc causes vertigo, naussea and vomiting and even fainting.

Nux Moschata helps in abdominal disorders with dryness in mouth, lips and throat. Tongue is so dry that it adheres to the palate. Saliva seems like cotton. Throat is dry and stiff yet there is no thirst. Abdomen is enormously distended, with rumbling especially after every meal. Pain in stomach either during eating or immediately after eating food. It is useful in flatulent dyspepsia especially of old people. Rectum is inactive. It also helps in diarrhoea from cold drinks and from boiled milk, or during dentition, during pregnancy with sleepiness and fainting.

Nux Moschata is useful in menstral symptoms when menses is suppressed or leucorrhoea instead of menses. It also helps in physometra( discharge of flatus from vagina) or pain from wearing pessaries. Nux Moschata also helps in nausea, vomiting and toothache during pregnancy.
