Indications: Stannum Metallicum is a chief remedy for many respiratory problems. Left side of the chest is predominantly affected. There is empty all gone sensation in the chest with profound weakness and soreness of the chest. Pain is of stitching type with oppressive and short respiration. There is voilent dry cough which comes in paroxysms of three. Cough is deep, hollow, shattering, strangling in nature. There is rawness and soreness in larynx and trachea with smarting sensation all the way down when coughing. There is accumulation of great quantity of mucus in trachea, easily thrown off by coughing. Expectoration is profuse like white of an egg. Cough is worse from talking, singing, laughing, lying on right side and drinking anything warm. Stannum Metallicum is also useful in hoarseness.
